T43p 2669 and Logitech Bluetooth mouse

#1 Post by lsandini » Fri Feb 16, 2007 4:06 am

Hello,

I need a mouse, but I hate dongles hanging around my laptop, so I bought my first BT mouse (Logitech V270), which is giving me headaches.

The T43p picks it like it should, but drops the connection on an irregular basis, only to reconnect it after a few (about 5-20) seconds automatically. I still haven't found a solution to make it work reliably.

Any suggestion ?

Lorenzo

Hi, I have no clue on what is happenng, but I can tell you that the V270 worked flawlessly from the beginning with my T42, so keep trying.. (I assume you have verified/swapped batteries)

In my case I am working with the standrad drivers, WIDCOMM v. 1.4.3.4 and my bluetooth device being identified as a "IBM Integrated bluetooth III" one.

I have the same experience with a V270 and my T43 1872!

I must try the WIDCOMM drivers then, only thing that I can think of and that I haven't tried.

When I globally updated the drivers using the IBM program for that, the BT drivers were updated too, and it mentioned something about enhanced-rate BT... Maybe that's the reason, but since in the settings I didn't find an option to change the power output of the BT controller, or the data rate.

Thanks, I'l report back.

Bluetooth enhanced data rate isn't supported on T4x models, only on x6x models, as far as I can tell.

Anyway, you should be running the latest IBM BT driver pack (the version number ends in .2100).

Cheers,

Bill

Tried various drivers, all with the same problem.

Might be a problem with the mouse itself, I have to try it on a different computer, but thank you everyone for your suggestions.

Same problem here... V270 mouse stops working, almost like it's gone to sleep, then wakes up after 10 seconds. It's frustrating, to say the least. Let us know if you find out what the problem is.
