How to know if an TP 760ed will boot from the CD aft format

Hi,
I am in a situation where I have to format the HD in my TP 760ED.
I do not have an Floppy so I have to use my CD to install the OS.

How can I be sure that this will be possible after formatting the Hard disk?

Does the BIOS handle this if there is not Floppy disk avialable?

I have searched the IBM support site without any luck.
