Adding hard drive space
Adding hard drive space
Bought in December: T60p 2gig Ram 60 gig 7200 RPM drive Duo Core T7200 2GHz DVD burner 15" flex screen ATI FireGL V5250
VERY HAPPY!!
But, running out of drive space (don't ask!!). Can these models handle a second drive? If not, where can I get a good deal on a large fast drive? Also, I'd rather not install everything all over again - is there some clone software out there?

ThinkPad Serial ATA Hard Drive Bay Adapter; Part number 40Y8725. It goes into the ultrabay where your CD/DVD is.
Do a search in the T60 forum for this part number for more info.
Google the part number for a better price/availability then Lenovo.

Unless you live in New Jersey where sales tax is applicable; then, Zipzoomfly.com might be a better choice. Prices are usually very close once shipping is added in.pianowizard wrote:There is only one site to check: www.newegg.com . Both are excellent vendors. Newegg does ship very fast.

Watch our for ZipZoomFly. When they're good, they're good. When they're bad, they're really bad. I had to file a police report against them before they would return $2000 that they took from me without ever shipping the product I ordered.
Back when they were GoogleGear, they were great. Since the name change, it's been down hill.

Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.
Mistakes and misunderstandings occasionally happen. I've ordered thousands of $$$ over the years from them an never a problem. As a rule I always purchase with a credit card which provides additional legal protection. In a dispute you can always have the credit card company hold payment.RonS wrote:Watch our for ZipZoomFly. Drive Space solution
Go to Newegg.com I got a 120/5400 Fujitsu for 79$ $50.00 for the Apricorn SATA EZ Gig drive cloner. Easiest thing in the world and you can keep your 60 in the cloner as a backup.
Re: Drive Space solution

Apricorn
I believe it may go to any bootable drive. If I remember correctly, the software allows you the option, but it must be bootable. Works like a charm.
Go to Apricorn site, look up specs here http://apricorn.com/product_detail.php?type=reg&id=1075
