Dumb question: rip audio CDs from external optical drive?

#1 Post by boffo » Sat Feb 17, 2007 6:22 am

Is there any difference between internal and external optical drives when it comes to ripping CDs into iTunes? I'm thinking of getting one of these:

to use with my X60S and I want to be sure it will work. I have no particular reason to believe it won't; I just want to be sure.

Thanks in advance and apologies for what is probably a stupid question.

There is no difference between how Windows uses a internal and external drive. It will mount the same way. Just make sure the drive letters are correct with iTunes for it to use it.
