Question about a x40

#1 Post by wanna_IBM » Sun Sep 19, 2004 7:09 pm

I am in real estate and would like a x40 however I understand that you can not play videos on it like dvd's is that correct? I have a sales video that I usually whip out on my listing presentations, and play on my laptop will the x40 do this or no?? Thanks.

Sure you can. But you will need to buy either an external USB 2.0 Optical drive or get an X40 plus and X4 Ultrabase and any one of the IBM Ultrabay Slim Optical drives such as their DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive.

Or, you can save a whole lot of money and get a PCMCIA DVD player :)

or you can copy the DVD to your hard drive and play it from there. You can even get software to compress the DVD so it takes up less space.
