Brief Delay for Power-On LED when plugging in AC Adapter

#1 Post by kjarrett » Sun Sep 19, 2004 7:17 pm

This is weird. Maybe nothing. Anyways my green power on LED always would light up within less than a second of plugging in the AC adapter. A week or so ago I noticed it was taking longer. Then I noticed the delay was growing. Now, it's about 6 seconds before the green light illuminates. Batteries are nearly fully charged. Just wondering if anyone else's does this. I have a T30.

Thanks, kj

I don't know if it is "normal" or not, my T41 has had the short delay you describe since it was new. Never timed it before tonight; 6 seconds for the LED to come on after pluging in the adapter. Battery is fully charged.

My thinkpads (T20/T21/T23/T42) all did this.

Thanks guys! Interesting. It;s funny, I know my T30 (and T21) never acted this way. No biggie. :-)

Hi there

I get exactly the same thing on my T41, though it is only a few seconds.

I don't think it is anything to worry about.

cheers

My T30 and all the A series I've worked with all had about a 5-second delay.
