My T41 freezes.... what can i do?

#1 Post by bunder » Mon Sep 20, 2004 8:50 am

Don't know if other folks get the same problem, but here it is.

My T41 is switched on for several hours at a time (often for around 10 hours or more a day) and connected to the mains.

On occasion, I will leave my T41 and come back a few minutes later, sometimes 10 minutes and if i try pressing any of the keys, it doesn't react and allow me to use it again.

So I press a few more keys and still nothing.

Then I put my finger on the on/off button and even though i hold it down for a while, it doesn't do anything and doesn't even switch off.

So all that if left for me to do is take off the power adapter, turn the T41 over and remove the battery.

Any idea what the problem might be. I haven't changed any of the hibernation settings.

thanks

Leslie

Have you recently changed or added memory? I experience a hanging system (albeit on a desktop) with bad memory boards - either reseat or replace the boards...
