I avoid energy drinks, as am a very health conscious person. I once did and suffered a bad throat.
I say drink beer, water and juice, and no pops you'll enjoy them better and will stay healthy as well.

"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Somewhat unrelated (but this is the off-topic forum
), I was researching the Coca-Cola dissolves a tooth overnight myth and came across this interesting study: Dissolution of dental enamel in soft drinks (pdf).
They dropped teeth into cups filled with various liquids, and continually measured their weight for two weeks. Cola drinks (Coca-Cola, Pepsi & Dr. Pepper) were actually the least erosive soft-drinks (around 1.5% weight loss), while Mountain Dew and Diet Mountain Dew were the most erosive, with weight losses of 8.01% and 6.17% respectively. Surprisingly, pH value did not correlate to erosion at all.
Dropping the tooth in root beer did the same as dropping it into tap water. Tea and coffee had about 0.2% weight loss, while Arizona iced tea had a comparatively huge 4.86% weight loss.
They guessed this 14-day test is comparable to an average consumption of 25 ounces (about 750ml) of the drink daily for 13 years.

I hear ya! When I lived in San Diego for a couple of years, all the natives seemed to have bad teeth. I had the most cavities ever on my dental visit after living there about a year and a half (which has not been seen before or since). Right after I made that visit to the dentist I switched to bottled water. When I left San Diego (the west coast), I went back to tap water - being the cheapskate that I am.ronbo613 wrote:The tap water here in Southern California will do more than dissolve your teeth.........

theres pretty much nothing sweeter to me than a can of Dew right before bed. I cant hack the taste of coffee, but if I do drink any kind of cappucino it has to be a frappucino. Double shot, 1 caf, 1 decaf with a shot of caramel. OOOOOOlala. Oh yea and the other day I had Mint flavored tea. It was spearmint and man it was surprisingly really good.
