Many laptop pix (NEW: T60, Macbook Pro & Dell together!)

#1 Post by pianowizard » Sat Feb 24, 2007 1:57 pm

***10 April 2007 UPDATE***
I just uploaded some photos showing three popular 15.4" laptops together:
a T60, a Macbook Pro, and a Dell Inspiron 6000. As you can see, the Apple is by far the thinnest.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I just uploaded a bunch of laptop photos I've taken over the years to my Yahoo album. The quality isn't good, but I think you'll find some of these photos interesting:
240, X40, X22, Inspiron 700m and Inspiron 8200
600E
Dell Inspiron 700m
T43 and T60
Toshiba Portege 7020CT
X20
X20 and Inspiron 8200
X60s
UPDATE: I just added a photo comparing the thickness of the X40 with the Toshiba Portege R100.
Nice collection there. The X20 looks very nice! (and so does the X60s - it looks very thin - are you sure you are feeding it properly? :D)
Now: T60 2613-EKU | T23 2647-9NU | 600X 2645-9FU | HP 100LX
Past: X31 2673-Y13 | T41 2374-3HU | T22 2647-AEU
The pics of the X20 and the Inspiron 8200 are funny. Did you use white tape to cover up the screws on the X20?
They are fairly thin but the thinnest laptop I've owned is the Toshiba Portege R100. I'll upload a photo comparing it with the X40.
I wish I'd taken photos of the 8200 & the TP240 together. The contrast would have been even bigger!
Those tapes were already there when I got the laptop through eBay. I thought it was done by IBM.
Nice set of laptops there. All I have is a T21 and a 600E that was sold to the family.
I have finally rejoined the dark side.
As I promised in another thread, I just took some photos showing the 15.4" T60, the 15.4" Macbook Pro, and the 15.4" Dell Inspiron 6000 together. The Macbook Pro is by far the thinnest, lightest and prettiest. It's a shame its display has such a low resolution (1440x900), versus the T60's 1680x1050 and the Dell's 1920x1200. You can see these photosin this album. If somehow the link doesn't work, go to http://photos.yahoo.com/piano_wizard and click on the album named "Inspiron6000,MacbookPro,T60(15.4")".
