Hi there,
I have five partitions on my T22/60gb hd. The final partition is to keep an image of C:.
for reasons that I don't understand, lots of stuff gets written to H: (Image) that I do not think should be there. My scanner always write some *.mtx files to H:. New installs seem to write crap to H:.
So I delete these frequently. Somehow, I have also deleted my current image file. Should not be a big deal and should be recoverable using an undelete program.
But no, undelete finds all sorts of junk but no mention of the image files. These files where there a couple of days ago, and as far as I am aware, nothing has been written to H:.
So where have they gone and why? Is there a way to protect image files for the future, apart from copying them to another hd or cd?
Grateful for any assistance.
Many thanks,
Rex
