T23 fan seems to run more often now than before.

The fan seems to run a lot now. I don't know why. Should I disassemble and clean the fan, or clean and reapply thermal grease?

The fan also seems to have more of a whirring noise in comparison to before when the fan had that "I'm just quietly moving air" noise.

I guess the fan may be dirty. They don't really wear out do they? It's not like the blades get dull. Or do they?

I would get a can of compressed first. Remove the keyboard and blow all of the dust out the fan and heatsink. Reattach the keyboard and start up and see if it makes a difference. If the fan is still running more that you want to, do the same procedure again, but remove the heat sink and fan. Wipe off the old thermal paste and apply some arctic silver. You do not want to put a lot on because that will just cause heat to build up, but putting on too little will not transfer enough heat to the heat sink. You really don't need very much for the T2x series. Reattach everything and you should be at optimum thermal transfer efficiency.
I have finally rejoined the dark side.
