Ever have your Laptop delivered before their ship date?

#1 Post by Brillig » Mon Feb 26, 2007 5:23 pm

I'm trying to be optimistic. This is my second purchase attempt from Lenovo, and I've not often heard good things. The last time I tried to purchase I had to cancel after they pushed the ship date up about two months. . . I hope things have improved.

Well, Yes it's possible but it all depends if the machine is already ready-to-be shipped from asia before you place an order.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

IBM ThinkPad deliveries have been the same for decades...either immediate or signifcantly delayed. Generally, worth the wait.

Dell, on the other hand, will amaze you with their ability to deliver custom machines in short order. Their qualilty won't impress anyone, however.

I hope you receive your machine quickly.

Holy Smokes! I just got the notice that my Z shipped today. I ordered it yesterday. Out. Frigging. Standing.

I'd rather have a slightly outdated Thinkpad than any Dell. Fortunately, I won't have to find out for another year.
