T43P Shows 256mb video

#1 Post by dyoes » Mon Feb 26, 2007 8:25 pm

Is this right for the FireGL V3200? I thought these had 128mb. Mine shows 256mb. Is 128mb dedicated and 128 mb shared? I used the latest drives from IBMs site. Ran some other utilities and it says video card memory being 256mb.

Also is 46c-62c normal temps? I used a T41P/T42P fan and it doesnt cover the whole GPU Doesnt make any noise at all though. But it does blow the same as the old laptop when it gets hot, its just a lot quieter...

Does HyperMemory work under Linux, either with the proprietary drivers or open-sourced? My T43 has 64Mb Radeon X300 graphics.

Thanks.

I was wondering that when I had a T43. I would check the driver info, and it said I had 128MB. Next time I checked, it was at 256, even though the card was only 64MB.
