ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 Memory Amount?

#1 Post by Paul Pavlik » Tue Feb 27, 2007 4:12 pm

I have a Radeon X1300 graphics chip in my T60. Every System Information Utility that I use states that the Adapter Ram is 512mb. I know that the X1300 is supposed to have 64mb of on-board memory and can "Borrow" (Via Hyper-Memory) System Memory up to a total of 256mb (I think). Why do all the Sys Info Utilities say that I have 512mb of Adapter Ram. I have 2gb of System Ram.

It has 64 MB on the card, and will acquire up to 448 MB more off the system RAM if it requires more memory and if the memory is available, for the grand total of 512 MB that it claims in the software views; source http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3002 under the graphics review.
