t60 VZ WWAN Card support Rev A?

#1 Post by Alltweed » Wed Feb 28, 2007 2:55 pm

Verizon told me to ask lenova if the WWAN card supports rev a standard. She said that will be VZ's next improvement with wireless infrastructure.

Any one know?

I spoke to lenovo support and we concluded it does not based on his part number - Nova-tel Wirelss V620, LX-EV-DO. if it were rev a, it would say rev a at the end.

He did have a note in his system that seemed to infer that their would be a VZ rev a. On 12/12 was the notice and that it said to be launched a week later??.

How important is this anyway? Seems cingular is shipping rev a.

Cingular is HSDPA, not EV-DO, so they are two completely unrelated (though competing) technologies.

I would highly doubt that any currently shipping Mini-PCI cards support EV-DO Rev A at this time.
