Finger print scanner software sync???

when using the fingerprint scanner on a network with pasword changes every 90days, does the fingerprint scanner on a X60 laptop synch properly with a newly updated password? I have a user here who changed the password but the fingerprint scanner did not seem to recognize the change since when you first set it up it asks for your current password. Once setup correctly all you have to do is scan your fingerprint and it logs you in.

Any info would be great.
