T42 - Video Driver

Hello,

I've been browsing all posts in this forum the last couple days...
I noticed that ATI Radeon Mobility 9000 XDDM can be used to replaced our 7500 driver...

I know some people are just like me, I have my T42 installed Vista Business, but the 9000 is not listed...

Is there any one know how to rip the driver out from Ultimate and share with us? or Is there any place I would be able to get 9000 driver?

Really appreciate your help!

okay, maybe try system32/driverstore?

The Vista RTM installation DVD has all of the "versions" of Vista on it. Which Vista features set (aka version) gets installed depends on which type of key you enter at the start of the installation.

The RTM installation driver base is identical for all versions.

yeah, but theres no vista mobility drivers for cards lower than radeon9600.

Hello,

I'm using T42 with Radeon 7500 on Vista Home Premium with R9000 driver.
Driver came with original system - I did not have to download anything. You should update driver, but remember to uncheck field to show all drivers - then choose from left column "ATI Technologies Inc." and then you'd be able to choose "ATI Mobility Radeon 9000" from right column.
That worked for me.
