LF: 802.11a/b/g/n mini pci express for R60e

#1 Post by DB2Dude » Sat Mar 03, 2007 11:04 am

I'm looking for someone selling (or advice on where to buy) a wireless card for my Thinkpad R60e which matches the card I use on my other Thinkpad. It needs to be mini pci express and I'm mostly just looking for the new atheros card with 802.11n.

You do know you need a THIRD internal antenna for an N card to work, right?

Yes. Wireless-N uses MIMO (multiple in, multiple out) for better reception. Without the extra antenna it is completely pointless to do the upgrade.

my R60e was purchased without any wireless card. So upgrade from nothing is what I'm aiming for. From memory I think that my R60's 802.11n atheros card only had two cables connected though there were connectors for three.
