battery life with ultrabay

#1 Post by kooshball » Sat Mar 03, 2007 9:26 pm

hi,
i'm looking to buy a t60 with these specs

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T7200
14.1 SXGA+ TFT
ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 128MB
2 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM
Integrated fingerprint reader
100GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm
DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG
9 cell Li-Ion Battery

with

40Y6789 ThinkPad Advanced Ultrabay Battery

what kind of battery life can i expect with the 9 cell + ultrabay battery for normal use with screen at medium and wireless on? how about with everything on/off? i understand it is a 3 cell, so would it just increase proportionally?

would the battery life a lot different if i get the t60p with the firegl card?

thx

Everything you always wanted to know, and more: :)

And the short answer: the 9-cell alone is rated at 6.9 hours; 9-cell plus Ultrabay battery is rated at 8.5 hours. YMMV depending on how you configure and use your T60.
