#1 Post by allen » Sun Mar 04, 2007 2:30 pm

has anyone gotten any omega driver to work on your T60p with firegl v5250?

i removed all ATI software, and installed the latest omega driver and can not get it to work at all.

thanks!

I've had no luck yet, even with the mod tools floating around that are supposed to modify the installer's index of viable video cards.

It works if you only remove ATI Control Panel and ATI CCC. Just remove those two and then install the Omega drivers.

My bad, the Omega drivers do not install at all on the T60p's with the 5250.

I managed to get the x1700 driver installed and running however.

now what would be the advantage of installin this driver instead of the one supplied with the laptop? does it improve the Windows Experience Index for the GPU (Win Vista?)

It can often improve performance and fix glitches with games, that are sometimes present with the native FireGL drivers.
