Anybody else experiencing stalls with the Atheros card in Vista or know what may be causing it? I installed the latest driver from the Lenovo site and it seems to cut out every so often but pick up again after about 30-45 seconds.
I put in my Intel card and there are no issues.
Stalls w/ Atheros ABG
Re: Stalls w/ Atheros ABG
I just put in an Atheros in my t60p. I noticed that windows update has a much newer driver then the Lenovo one so I let it install. It fixed a number of minor issues.johhn14 wrote:Anybody else experiencing stalls with the Atheros card in Vista or know what may be causing it? The Lenovo driver is November-ish, the Atheros/Microsoft one September?
I can't get on my WPA2-AES network reliably with either driver. I have an Intel B/G card, a Broadcom A/B/G, and an Agere/Orinoco that I could try but don't feel like taking apart the thinkpad to get to it (ugh so many screws).
Sometimes I can connect, sometimes I can't. I have no trouble getting on my WEP network (that is isolated from the rest of the network and kept around only for WiFi on the Nintendo DSs in the house.
Plus, the Atheros/Microsoft driver stops Fn+F5 from working so that kinda sucks. I know My T42 isn't "vista certified" but it sure as hell is powerful enough to run it (with aero), so why can't my wifi work?
