Is my t43p real t43p?

#1 Post by delubo » Tue Mar 06, 2007 7:22 am

It is 2668-peg. It is manufactured in 07 Nov 2006 (shown in IBM ACCESS and has 3 years warranty). It is labled T43p but it is labled as " lenovo T43p". It comes with 128M V3200 graphic card, but if I search the mode number in ibm.com, it shows T43, not t43p.

So, is my thinkpad real t43p?

Thanks for your help, thinkpads forum.
1GB is more than enough, but you know the more ram the better.

Yes - I don't know why it would come up without the P on the Lenovo support site (and since the manufacture date you give us is after the date that Lenovo took over the IBM PC division, that explains the Lenovo labelling), but your graphics can't be found in a stock T43.

Just switch your T43 hard drive to any off the shelf PATA HDD, and try running product recovery on the new HDD.

If you get the infamous 2010 error, you do have the T43.

T43 is the only T4x series machine to have this error.

(Which is why I'm keeping my T42...)

Seriously, T43 has one ExpressCard slot + one PC Card slot, while all other T4x series have two PC Card slots and no ExpressCard slot.

The OP was trying to determine with certainty if he had a T43 or a T43p. The 'p' being the difference.
