Rescue & Recovey Install

#1 Post by ratoto67 » Wed Mar 07, 2007 8:24 am

Hi,
I am trying to upgrade my RR to version 4.0.
During initialization of the process I got an error 25025 stating that there is not enough space on my computer.
I still have about 10 Gig free on my C partition.
The thing is that during installation the hidden partition becomes visible (ServiceV001) and there is only 5 mega left...
Any idea.
Thanks

I got the similar error "Not enough space to extract in C:\" even though I had 77GB of free space. I tried to free up "temp" space but I could not get installation going.

I finally uncompressed the file by external utility into a folder and when that is done, I finally manage to install the R&R4.0

Can any of you help with what might be a related problem. I have managed to install R&R v3.1 (and then v4.0) on my T42. The program works so far as producing a base file and allowing file retrievals from it. But it refuses to make a bootable rescue disk. It gives this error message:

Create Rescue Media: Process failed.
Up to 1.6 GB of temporary hard disk drive space is needed to create rescue media. Either move or delete files from your hard disk drive to provide the required space; then, restart the "Create Rescue Media" procedure.

I have zounds of GB of hard disk drive space in C:\, where the program resides. What is it thinking? How can I trick it?

Thanks.
