R50e - cannot downgrade HDD

#1 Post by Wojtek » Wed Mar 07, 2007 9:42 am

Hello,

One year ago I have upgraded my old hdd to the new Seagate. I put my old disk into USB case. Today I decided to install back my old disk, to do live test of Windows Vista.

I was strongly disappointed, because my Thinkpad didn't recognize its old disk!

Old HDD works well in the USB case. It contains my old system, so computer should start without any problems. But when I install old disk in laptop, my computer claims that there is no hard disk in it. BIOS doesn't recognize disk, too.

What should I do, to use my old (orignal) hard disk?

Regards
