R40 Graphics Card Upgrade?

Is it possible to upgrade the Graphics Card that on a Thinkpad R40 2897? My system came with an ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 Series which can't handle the graphics on any 3D games.

For a Thinkpad R40, it's not likely you can upgrade the graphics. The Mobility Radeon 7500 is as good as you'll get in those systems. I upgraded from the Mobility Radeon M6 to the 7500 last week and it seems to play 3D games fine.

Mind you, I upgraded the graphics by changing the whole motherboard because the graphics chip is soldered onto the motherboard and can't be removed.
