Trackpoint Problem
Today I got a new motherboard for my T23, which fixed a number of problems such as it's inablity to boot (no post, fan pulsing) and before that, the unablity to use the battery.
Now it works fine, except the computer no longer reconizes my trackpoint. The trackpoint and it's buttons do not work, and as far as I can tell, the computer isn't even aware they exist. They don't show up in the device manager or anything.
Oddly enough the keyboard works fine, I'm typing this message on it.
I am going to try launching Knoppix and see it that sees the mouse, but until then, any ideas?

even though you may of set the trackpoint on in the BIOS, Windows can override those settings. Make sure you have Thinkpad Configuration installed and the trackpoint driver. The BIOS settings should then be reflected in Windows. If you still have the problem, uninstall the drivers, restart the computer and then reinstall the trackpoint driver. If that doesn't work, it may be a problem with the motherboard regarding the PS/2 port or the keyboard.
I have finally rejoined the dark side.

@tfflivemb2
I've tried that twice so far (with the intent of making sure the connector was connected) and it hasn't done anything.
I know this trackpoint did work, as it worked fine before my laptop died before.
@Stargate
I don't think that's the problem, it didn't work in Knoppix either, and where would I install the drivers too? It's not even listing it in device manager.

Try PC Doctor and see if that diagnostic program can see the "mouse". Listed under the "Interactive" menu, I believe. Actually, if you can use the trackpoint to select any of the tests you've already verified that it's working.
I believe PC Doctor boots into a PC-DOS environment and loads generic mouse drivers. If it doesn't work, then either something got fried on the keyboard (bent or broken pin in the connector) or something in BIOS is killing it.
