DON’T PANIC if shipment is being held by brokerage

Feb 26: I ordered a T60 Widescreen Thinkpad (87445BU) via the Lenovo “Visa” Corporate Perks website.

Mar 1: Lenovo shipped my Thinkpad from Hong Kong using expedited UPS. Anticipated delivery date of Mar 7. So far, so good.

Mar 5: In tracking the shipment I receive a message that “the shipment is being held by brokerage for reasons beyond UPS' control”. PANIC! But a call to Lenovo assures me that the customs clearance hold by brokerage is a normal procedure and will not last long.

Mar 6 AM: Sure enough, brokerage releases the shipment, and it continues on its way.

Mar 7 PM: My Thinkpad arrives. I’m very pleased with this Thinkpad and the Lenovo service in shipping and delivering it in ten days.
