How do I activate Bluetooth?

I've noticed that the bluetooth light is not active even though it appeas to be functioning correctly int he Control Panel. The wireless switch on the front edge of the computer is on and I can connect using WI-FI without any problems. Any idea on how to activate the bluetooth feature?
