what is DDE Server?

what is DDE Server?

When i shutdown or restart my T-42 i get one of those SHUT DOWN windows (where you can click END NOW)....

IT says something about DDE Server Window Shutting Down... and i have to END NOW a few times...

Any clue what this is?

Dynamic Data Exchange, it's a protocol for windows applications to share data. Go here and do a scan, http://www.grc.com/dcom/
See if you have any spyware on your pc, do a port check though at grc.

What I would do though is if you don't need it running go to right click my computer, manage, services and disable the service. If you are on a corp network go talk to your sysadmin.
