S-video out on T42

It is possible to enable overscan on the TV-out? I hate watching movies on the TV when I get black bars all over the TV.


I am considering buying either the T42 or X40. I just can't choose. I am primarily going to use it as a student. I also have two desktops I use at home so I wont be using it as a desktop replacement. Anyone here who can convince me. Thanks...

well, if you want a decent resolution, you don't want the X, i think it's only 1024x768.

however, if you're a student and will be carrying it around a lot, you DEFINATELY want the X.

that said, the T42 is NOT all that heavy. around 6 pounds with standard battery and optical, you can lighten it up by using the "blank" for the cd bay.

personally, i need high resolution. i love having more screen space. I've got a 15" t42 at 1600x1200. i wouldn't have had a problem with it at school, but i'm also 6'4" and 280lbs.
