Apologies to all. Nothing to see here.

I sold my 2 year old TiBook 800MHz for a new Thinkpad (for an additional $600).

Nuff said.

If looks are important...it's the PowerBook, hands down. I like the black t42, but the smooth surfaces of the PowerBook cannot be beat (even the underbelly is completely smooth, which no other pc that I know of can claim).
Hang on a moment, people are deciding whether to opt for a certain machine based on its looks?!! :?

A PC & Mac are as different as chalk and cheese.

i have a 17" Powerbook and a T42 and another T42P 15"

i use the mac to "impress" clients when ishow them websites and such - as they think that real designers use macs...etc

but everything is done on my T42s

mac OSX is great and all but try managing all the stupid windows when ur making a website, you keep hitting the dumb bar that zoom the icons and cant get the the stuff at the bottom screen very quickly OSX always seems very cluttered - theres icons and windows and crap everywhere

in the end - PCs get work done , when im using OSX it alwasy seems that im playing a game or somthing - doesnt feel like a proper work enviroment

if ur going touse it to how clients things i actually suggest u get the mac
as the dumb cleints will be all OOOO ahhhhh over it and will carry the feeling over to the work :)
