WTB T4x 14.1" for under $500

Looking for a T41 or newer, would prefer SXGA+ and a large hard drive. Just need something portable for surfing around.

Price is right. Only a T40 with XGA though.

A T41 will cost substantially more.

And an SXGA+ equipped T41 even more.

I learned about this deal earlier today, too. How much warranty is included, and how do you know it's not a refurbished unit?

The OP wants SXGA+ though.

Yeah, I guess they wanted SVGA, but don't think one is going to get for less than 500$.

As for this, I have found that they must say refurbished if they are refurbished, and haven't had any issues with buy.com The x41 deal I did couple months back, new, dock, etc, 950$, was not refurbished. Came just as new as the day it was off the line.

The warranty is a bit misleading, I would imagine it is 1 year, but one could add more either via IBM/Lenovo, or through the buy.com link.

I just took another look at the page and now it says "Refurbished". Makes sense because it's a pretty old model.

Yep, they did-good thing they clarified that point. It just so happens that we had a T22 at my place of work that started acting up today, and we need a replacement fast. I decided to take a chance and ordered one of these from buy.com this afternoon. I also decided to pay the extra $106 for the 24 month express warranty-I probably wouldn't have done it if it was for personal use, but in a business environment it is cheap insurance.

I guess I'll be the guinea pig on this one!

Please do not put crap in my post again. I have 4 potential buyers who emailed and pmed me at once for the unit I'm selling. We never agreed on the transaction and someone else happened to be interested and sent me an immediate payment. Do not get upset because you simply wasted your own time asking questions that has already been answered. Once again, do not mislead any members into thinking that I'm a bad seller. You are still new to this forum so please be considerate to other members. :x

I stand by my statements.

I was under the impression that I was the first to respond to the post, where I clearly stated my commitment to buy the item. If that was not the case, the seller certainly didn't advise me of it until several more back-and-forth emails had been sent. I was very willing to send payment immediately, the seller never gave me a chance to do so. My questions were entirely reasonable given the disparity between the posted specifications and the ones associated with the given serial number on Lenovo's warranty information page.

And I am new to posting on the forum. But I've lurked for a while, and I've done thousands of dollars of sales in online forums. In all of them, an unspoken rule is that sellers ought to at least give fair consideration to potetial buyers in the order that they respond. I don't feel that happened in this case. I would be happy to provide an email record substantiating this to interested parties.
