This is extremely tedious but will work if none of the tabs are broken on the individual black and white frames under the key. If the location tabs are broken off, the key won't stay on after you press it back on (this happened to me).
IBM don't sell (or replace under warranty) the individual parts - they just replace the entire keyboard. However, you can get individual keys with the plastic frames on e-bay.

I bought a complete new keyboard off ebay. Are they easy to fit? Got a link to any instructions ?sktn77a wrote:This is extremely tedious but will work if none of the tabs are broken on the individual black and white frames under the key. Really easy.
At the back of you laptop, you will find a keyboard drawn beside some of the screws (generally 4 to 5 screws).
Just unscrew them, flip the laptop back, slide the keyboard slightly toward you, lift it a little and unplug the white connector you can see.
Then do these steps backward with your new keyboard, and you're done.
