Can any T42 or T43 do DVI?

Can any of these models do DVI using a docking station? I don't want to have to use an external video card. What models and docking stations can do it? Thanks from a noob.

Yes Dock II has a DVI port.

A Port Replicator II would suit your needs nicely.

AFAIK any T4X series machine will Grok DVI.

That's been my experience with my two T40s, my T41Ps and my wife's and daughter's T42s.

Hi,

I've got a T42 with a dock 2878 (dock 2 I think) and it works perfectly though DVI with a 1680x1050 screen.

Thank you all. However, I have been bitten by the ultraportable bug and just bought an X40, but I'll keep the T4x DVI via the dock in mind for the future. I have an iMac at home, and plan to only use the X40 for traveling. I can't wait until it comes! And yes, I am aware of its performance limitations, but I don't think that should be a problem for me. Thanks again everybody for your help.
