Possible to recreate utility (recovery) partition only?

#1 Post by shadesofjay » Tue Mar 13, 2007 2:44 pm

My corporate IT department wipes hard drives on all new laptops. I really like the utility partition (accessible using thinkvantage button) and wonder if it's possible to restore it without reimaging the entire hard drive using Rescue and recovery.

If you had backed it up before it was wiped (via making your own recovery CD) then you probably have a good chance at doing so.
