Check the FAQ's (always check there first) for the Hardware Maintenance Manual or Lenovo for the HMM. On a T23, the drive comes out the side (IIRC) with a screw holding it underneath. I just looked in the HMM for my old T23 and it covers the T20. Screw underneath, drive comes out the side. ... JD Hurst

First, slightly open the lid.. The hard drove is located in lower left hand corner of the case, where the headphone, line in, and microphone in ports are. That entire panel will be removed. You will need to remove the screw that hold in the panel. It is located on the underneath side of the computer. It will be a large flathead screw (it may be Phillips also) It will the biggest and most visible screw you can see. Once you remove it, pull out the panel with those audio jacks and the hard drive will come out with it. There will be 4 tiny phillips screws that will hold the hard drive to the cady. Be careful not to strip the heads while trying to remove them. Now the hard drive is free. Repeat these steps in reverse to install the new hard drive. Make sure you have the recovery disks or an OS install disk to install Windows (or the OS of your choice).
I have finally rejoined the dark side.
