T43 hangs when checking status of embedded security chip

Hi,

My T43 is not booting. It just hangs at "Checking the status of the embedded security chip". I have installed windows update and when I tried to reboot the system after that it just hangs. Is there a way i could turn off from checking embedded security chip from BIOS. Please let me know.

you can disable the checking of the security chip from the bios setup.
be warned though that if you're using client security software, you may not be able to log in.
