T41p Access Conn. 100% CPU Usage
Hi guys,
I usually just suspend and resume my laptop, going from place to place, it detects a new network in my profile and connects automatically - perfecto.
Recently my router's wireless mysteriously broke, this is perhaps unrelated but I mention it anyway for posterity. I have not yet fixed it.
My Access Connections at the moment, both the main program and the Fn+F5 menu are so slow. And the 'AcSvc.exe' is currently as I type reporting 100% CPU usage. It's really playing up at the moment. Any ideas? Uninstall re-install? Is there an update? Anyone else had problems with this.
Even after multiple restarts the same problem persists.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: T41p Access Conn. 100% CPU Usage
I had exactly the same problem with my (former) T42; I never did resolve it, and finally uninstalled AC for the last time and just used the Windows wireless program which worked fine.
Here's what I would do, at this point, which is later and I believe we have changed versions of AC in between.
Download the latest wireless card drivers for your card from the Lenovo website, then download the latest AC version. Uninstall the current AC version (including all old profiles, everything), and the current wireless card drivers. Reboot.
Reinstall the wireless card drivers, then reinstall the latest version of AC. See if this works. If it doesn't, then I think you are going to have to muck around in the system registry if you are going to fix the problem, deleting all references to AC after you have uninstalled AC yet again. I'm almost certain that if you are willing to do the registry work later, if needed, that these steps will solve your problem. Deleting stuff from the system registry is not for the faint of heart so this may not suit you. In any event, I'd give the uninstallation then reinstallation as above a shot as it has a good chance of working.

I've had that and uninstalled/installed/removed and nothing solved until last week.
It was working good. I enabled logging and it become 100% usage. Disabled logging and everything got normal again.
Well, test this:
FN+F5 > Open AC > Tools (from menu bar) > Diagnostics > Event Log
If loggin is enabled then disable it.
Post your result. That can do the diference.

I think the logging might be suspect, as I did enable it a short while ago. Really it does not bring the whole system to a halt, which is quite impressive. But wireless is definitely unworkable. Thanks for the input I will look over the thread and try turning logging off thanks!
Edit: Thanks, disabling the logging fixed it. Thank-you very much for your help all of you.
