Thinkpad T42, Windows Vista, IBM Presentation Director

#1 Post by voilavoila » Thu Mar 15, 2007 4:16 am

Hello, my first post. I have an IBM T42 2373 (UK Model). I have installed clean install of Windos Vista Business.
I can't get the dual display to work. Presentation director will not load - I have downloaded 2 versions - one from System update and one by manually going to Lenovo/IBM Support site.
Thee error I receive is with regards to a missing .dll oemdspif.dll.
I am at my wits end. The Thinkpad monitor is damaged and I picked this up for free from work. I want to use it on an external monitor and am unable to. can anyone advise on how I fix this please?
Kind Regards
Voila.

I have managed to resolve this. I used the Radeon 9500 ATI driver. I had to manually tell the Graphics card to use this. Vista does not pick it up. I can now use a dual monitor. I have not tried to use Presentation Director.

A problem I have now is that when I play back .avi - the files are slow (video) and the sound is really out of sync.

I am sure I have the correct Codecs. Can anyone advise as to how to resolve?
