Slow IE speed and Citrix dropping?

#1 Post by FBTO » Thu Mar 15, 2007 3:31 pm

Any with a T60 have any issues with their internet connection being slow. Sometimes, when I go a webpage, it is loading slow. I hit reload, and it loads quick. Sort of every once in a while it drags. Also, I am have major issues with Citrix dropping all the time.

Now, at the exact same time, I have my older HP laptop next to my thinkpad, and it is using the same wireless network. And the browsing speed is consisitent and fast. And I have not had one issue with Citrix dropping?

I did reload XP Pro sp2 on my t60. I am wondering if there my be some IBM security app or something else built into the Thinkpad that could be effecting it.

Anyone?

Ditto

I am wondering the same exact thing.

New t60 days old. Not just loading the IE page, but clicking on links, sending emails. Its like it depends on where you click it.

Other times - lighting fast. Maybe 30-40% time I notice this.

not sure if it's related. I downloaded and applied the Core 2 Duo hotfix WindowsXP-KB896256-v4-x86-ENU.exe from Microsoft. It helped a lot with my SuperPi speed.

FBTO

I had the same problem.

I seemed to have fixed the slow browsing by making the sure the T60's wireless profile was working withing access connections.

I had problems getting the encryption standards talking the same language between my router and t60 wireless card.

The T60 BTW uses WPA/AES. I had my router set for WPA/TPK (or something like that)...When I changed it to WPA/AES - it worked.

Make sure you good there.
