recovery backing up question T43

ok when reinstalling and creating partitions, i see there's the hidden utilities partition.

i'll be installing windows xp in the machine now as it has no OS. but i'll leave that hidden partition untouched for the moment.

so how can i recover that partition's stuffs? is that partition contains the originally shipped OS too?
