T60 / WIN XP
When i first fooled around with the proprietary Lenovo stuff (access connections, s/w update, etc., etc) i liked much of it, but as time went by i realized a lot of it seems to be bloated eye candy and that one can do most of the same things in windows without the Lenovo stuff. I have most everything working, but i'm still looking for some alternatives. I'd appreciate any ideas for these:
Toggle the BT radio without depending on any Lenovo s/w
Non Lenovo power manager that has advanced settings for CPU, fan, display brightness, etc.. I think this can be done by just adding the registry values for the windows power manager, but i'd rather have a utility.
Alternative UltraNav driver -- the windows driver is really limited.
Lenovo S/W Alternitives
NHC does a very nice job of power management -- and also enables you to undervolt the CPU for reduced power usage and lower temperatures -- although it does not control display brightness (I prefer to manage that manually anyway).
