WTB: Rescue and Recovery DVD for 2623-26U

Hi all,

I have deleted the Rescue and Recovery partition on my 2623-26U few weeks ago, clean installed XP Pro and I am now facing some issues like the keyboard hangs, it doesn't respond at all until the system is rebooted using the mouse (Clicking the Turnoff link on welcome screen) and the volume is too low. I have tried everything to increase the volume but it is way too low than my previous factory installed image.

I am aware of the fact that Lenovo charges $50 for the Recovery cd's and I don't want to shell out 50 bucks for the cd's/dvd. If anyone of you guys have the Rescue and Recovery image either in cd's or a DVD, please let me know if you can upload it somewhere.

I think this is not the right place for this thread - all such queries are posted in the Marketplace section. One of the mods will most probably move it there, so please follow it up there.

As regarding the volume, are you increasing both the hardware (physical vol. buttons on your laptop) and the s/w (windows voluime icon) volumes? They are not the same, and the maximum volume you set in the s/w vol. control is set by the level you keep in the h/w setting through the volume buttons.
