Dumb Question

#1 Post by LacquerHead » Sun Mar 18, 2007 1:22 pm

Just trying to find out if you can hook up an external monitor and keyboard to the T60, and use those at home, without having the dock. And whether you can turn off the screen on the T60 while using the external monitor, or even close the lid. I know there is software out there that controls these set-ups, I just dont know what it is. I appreciate any feedback, thank you.

You should be able to, I can use my ultra-nav keyboard, connect to an external monitor and with function f7 to turn off the lcd and in windows power managment change the way the computer acts when you close the lid, select "do nothing". I don't use presentation director much only for a projector, but I think you can do the same thing with that program.

Yes, you can do all of the above mentioned, you just need to set the monitor settings up with lenovo's software :)
