Your Website is back (at least I was able to reach it again)...

directly???!!!

all the best to You and Your family

i'm back..
jeanne was worse than frances..
survived well..
my small ranch in the next county suffered some damage..
tin torn off horse shelters..
worst problem is the manufactured home was picked up and failing to move it more than an inch, jeanne merely "tweaked" it..
$1500 for repairs..
some small roof damage..
$2000+ for a new roof..
all in all, considering what could have happened, i am pleased..

communications came back on tuesday..
electric came back tuesday night and left with a small explosion wed. 10:30 am..
so, back on generator waiting to go back on the grid..

:)

to paraphrase:
any storm you walk away from is a successful (landing, docking) storm..
:P

caroline is doing well except for the stress associated with the bad weather..
she took this second storm better than the first..

the birds just don't seem to care..
they can't see anything since the shutters close everything in..

finally got electric back this (saturday) afternoon.. 8)

thats 7 days this time and 9+ days last time..
16 days running the generator..
at about $50 a day for LPG gas..

but i must say its well worth it when you consider that without it nothing would function..

the interesting thing is both storms followed roughly the same track..
about 3 weeks apart..

Glad to "see" you back online.

Hopefully things will get back to normal soon, I've got a shopping list of "stuff" for you!

Glad to hear Caroline is doing well, has she been able to get to visit the Physical Terrorists? (Sic)
