getting into Safe Mode

#1 Post by kingman99 » Mon Mar 19, 2007 8:15 pm

Hi

I have heard this term for awhile but l have no idea how to get there. I have read that when you start up your computer and when you see the first black screen hit F8. Is this correct?

thanks

Alan

Hi

While the thresd you gave me was very helpful it didn't tell me how to get into them.

Believe me l'm a true beginner or novice but l am willing to learn.

Thanks

OK, :) turn off the machine, press the start button and as it boots start tapping the F8 key, you'll be promted to a screen with several choices one of which will be 'safe mode'.
