Vista Home Basic and AERO

#1 Post by masterus » Wed Mar 21, 2007 5:08 am

Hi

I don't know if you know that in Vista Home Basic you can get AERO :!: :?:

All you need to do is just edit few registry keys.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM:

Composition to: 1
Composition Policy to: 2

Then you have to run: Desktop Windows Manager Session Manager by:

Start -> cmd -> Run as Administrator -> net stop uxs
Start -> cmd -> Run as Administrator -> net start uxsms.

Obviously you need suitable GPU with 128MB :)

Hope that infos will be usefull for someone

Hi

No , unfortune not.I don't like Vista as system.
I like only new interface(animated windows) and network support.
But I have a bad habbit of reading IT portals. On one of them I read that.
Hope that infos will be usefull for someone.
Good luck

Just looking at your sig, what's a 7K80? There are 7K60s and 7K100s, never heard of the 7K80s...
