Looking for a virtual mouse wheel setup for T42?

#1 Post by e2mtt » Fri Mar 23, 2007 11:48 am

I have a T42. (see sig) Great lappy.

I really like the blue middle mouse button, I have it set to act only as a standard middle mouse button, rather then any advanced Think features. I also use the trackpoint exclusively, with the touchpad set to only scroll.

I use a lot of CAD & graphics programs where the mouse wheel zooms in and out. Using them without a mouse is difficult. What I am looking for is a way to have the touchpad "edge drag" act like a virtual mouse wheel... to pass along actual mouse-wheel roll information, rather then just scroll information, to the program. This would allow documents & web to scroll like usual, but allow zooming or other alternate action in programs that utilize the wheel. Used in concert with the blue button set to default "middle mouse button" action, it would allow great versatility.

(My dream request would be for a Thinkpad with a physical roller/button where the center blue button is now.)

Anything out there you all can point me to?
