Who owns a mondaine watch?

#1 Post by gator » Sun Mar 25, 2007 12:51 am

I have been drooling at these mondaine watches ever since I happened to see an ad in some magazine ... I later learnt that they were officially used by the swiss people as thier railway watch. I saw a comment today in Lenovo Blogs mentioning this watch and thought I'd ask if someone here owns one :)

I love the look of these watches and just now I realized that that red second hand will go amazing with my thinkpad!

While they don't look alike, per se, the Movado Museum and the Thinkpad are similar to me in their simple beauty.

Very good watch. I want one too. Are there better watches than this brand? Geez, there are always good stuff somewhere that I do not know. If only I have enough money to buy (try) all of them.

I used to live in Switzerland.
A watch very similar to that can be picked up in most any watch shop and even in the Department Stores. I think even Swatch and Migros have one like it.
Price-wise they are no more than perhaps SFr. 150.- ($125)

Or if you have 10 times that to spend, Bell & Ross are very nice indeed. I've always wanted Space 3, and it has nice red accents too.
