Hi
I have tried to connect my R50 (ATI Radeon 7500 graphics) to an old TV (it doesn't support S-VHS input through the SCART input) at my parents' summer house. However, the R50 apparently outputs S-VHS regardless of the capabilities resulting in a nice black & white picture. IIRC on my nvidia desktop card it is possible to force composite output through the TV out, but I can’t figure out how to do it on the R50.
Because of this problem, I bought an S-VHS to composite converter. I planned on adding a composite to SCART adapter to support said TV, but when testing the S-VHS to composite converter on another TV, the R50 simply refused to detect anything connected to the S-VHS port and thus refusing to even turn on the TV output (on my desktop I could force detection of a TV by using a small third party program – thinks it was called TV tools).
How do I solve my problems (the part about forcing composite output being the most important).
Advice will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance
Andreas
